Hello everybody, and welcome to a new era! Today we’ll take a look at Episode #10 of Battle Tendency. A quick note on the naming scheme: yes, I am aware that it is not the tenth episode of Battle Tendency, but the tenth of the Phantom Blood/Battle Tendency anime season. I chose to go with this naming scheme since I wanted some consistency with the numbering used in the anime itself.

Now then, without further ado, let’s go!

• Let’s begin with an uncensored, mangled face:

• Joseph’s face has been redrawn here, and his ridiculously long bangs shortened:

• In these four very boring shots, the word TAXI on the side of this… well, Taxi, has been made more visible:

And that’s all for this comparison! As it was the case for Phantom Blood #09, david production probably put a lot of budget into Battle Tendency’s first episode; as a result, it needed less retouches for the BD release. By the way, I just wanted to mention that this past week I was not at home, so this comparison was a bit late. You can expect them to come a bit more regularly from now on!
