Hello there, and welcome to the Jojo's Bizarre Comparisons blog!

If you're wondering "Hang on a second, what is this website even about? Comparisons between what and what?" - well, you're in the right place!

Let's start from the beginning. I'm assuming you ended up here because you're at least familiar with Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, the iconic and influential manga series by Hirohiko Araki. All good so far? Brilliant.

The manga has been adapted into a hit anime series by David Production - and said anime, for whatever reason (budget, time constraints, an unknown third reason?) was aired in a state that evidently was not considered perfect, or complete, and was therefore revised - sometimes lightly, sometimes heavily - when it was re-released on Blu-Ray. Naturally, I got curious as to exactly what the extent of these revisions was, and I set on my very own bizarre adventure to find out exactly that.

After a fair bit of trial and error, I eventually landed on a method that allows me to basically analyze the episodes frame by frame (you can read more about that here), and so I started taking a closer look at the whole series, one episode at a time.

This being a fairly long series, I've had my fair share of burnouts, but I'm persevering, and I intend to take a look at every single episode, even though it might take me many more years still (at the time of writing I've been running this blog for more than 10 years!).
