Hey! Uh… Is this thing on? Hi! So… Yeah, it’s been a minute - more than three years, actually! A lot of things happened in the meantime, and as you could probably guess, yes - I got burned out and I pretty much completely lost my motivation in doing these comparisons. The main problem being that, yeah, unfortunately Stone Ocean was extremely light on changes and differences, and I was dreading getting to an episode where, for the first time in 165 comparisons (!!!) I would simply… have nothing to write about.

And yes, let’s cut to the chase - that moment has finally happened. This is the first episode in the history of this blog where the Blu-Ray version added or changed absolutely nothing. That is a dark day for this blog, for Jojo fans in general and yes, for the whole of humanity. A dark day indeed.

However! Watching the absolutely glorious adaptation that Steel Ball Run is shaping up to be, I got a sudden rush of motivation to finally get these last comparisons done and dusted, so that I could be ready to take a look at SBR whenever those sweet, sweet Blu-Rays would finally come out. Hoping that they’ll contain some differences, of course. Not that the current adaptation needs any, but ya know. It’s fun.

So here I am, making one last push to get these comparisons out of the way - and as a form of apology to the people who have very patiently waited for me to come back (some of you have even written to me personally! Which I greatly appreciated - it’s honestly staggering reading how much this silly blog has meant to some of y’all), I’m going to push a couple of comparisons at once - hopefully we’ll at least get something to talk about in one of these episodes.

So yeah. That is it for this episode, I’m afraid. But let’s press on, and maybe we’ll find something worth mentioning in the next ones… And by the way, I’m no longer using my Twitter account (or any kind of social media, really), so if you’re interested in keeping up to date with these doubtlessly underwhelming episodes, I think the best way for you to do that would be to subscribe to the RSS feed. Well then, without further ado…

Welcome back, and see you for the next comparison!
